Guiding Lights

Omnicell guiding light technology quickly and accurately guides the user to the specilic location ol each medication. Guiding lights help direct nurses to the correct medication during dispensing, returning, and restocking.

SafetyStock Bar Code Confirmation (optional)

SafetyStock enables a user to bar code scan a medication to confirm the identity of "high risk" medications. It is also used when supply or medications are restocked. SafetyStock uses restock label bar codes and can selectively read individual item bar codes, thus preventing restock errors secondary to human picking errors. Omnicell's SafetyStock solution ensures the accuracy of technicians refilling cabinets. Using bar codes and handheld bar code readers, technicians can verify that all of the medications have been restocked correctly, to the proper bin and drawer, reducing the possibility of dangerous medication errors.

Touch & Go Biometric Fingerprint Scanner

Touch & Go, a biometric, positive ID system offers high security and last access to the cabinet. After an initial login, nurses need only a fingerprint scan for re-entry into a cabinet, eliminating the need to key-in a user name and password. Nurses who have registered a fingerprint may independently update that scan at any time, and the system can accommodate nurses who are unable to be recognized by the biometric system. To maximize the potential of each area, Touch & Go is highly configurable.
